WorldEx-US Pilot Says Both Engines Failed During Flydubai Steep Dive
Retired US Navy and American Airlines pilot Steve Scheibner stated that both engines of the Flydubai Boeing 737 MAX 8 were not operating during the aircraft's steep dive. He linked this to the activation of emergency evacuation lights, indicating engine failure. Off-duty pilots helped regain control and restarted the engines amid the chaotic situation. The Flydubai flight plunged about 16,000 feet in roughly 30 seconds.
