Ex-SFPD Deputy Chief Ann Mannix and Daughter Killed in Murder-Suicide

Former San Francisco Police Department Deputy Chief Ann Mannix, 65, and her 24-year-old daughter Katherine Mannix were fatally shot by Ann's husband, ex-SFPD Sergeant Kevin Mannix, 68, in a suspected murder-suicide at their home in Strawberry near Mill Valley. Ann Mannix was the first woman to lead the SFPD SWAT team and retired in 2021. The incident occurred Sunday afternoon after a 911 call reporting gunfire.
