BusinessEurozone Inflation Hits 3-Year High of 3.8% in September
Eurozone inflation rose to 3.8% in September, the highest in three years, up from 3.2% in August and above the 3.6% forecast. Energy prices surged 18.8%, driving consumer prices higher amid the Middle East conflict. Core inflation increased to 2.5%, and services inflation to 3.2%. Spain saw 5% inflation. This rise pressures the ECB, which may hike rates again in October.
