Eternal Q2 Profit Rises 92% to ₹125 Crore, Misses Estimates

Eternal's consolidated net profit for Q2 ended September 30 surged 92.3% to ₹125 crore ($13.24 million) from ₹65 crore a year earlier. Despite revenue rising 77.6% to ₹2,413.8 crore, higher delivery, employee, and depreciation costs caused the profit to fall short of analysts' ₹271 crore expectations. Blinkit, Eternal's key contributor, saw a 79.3% year-on-year rise in net order value.

21 Protected Turtles Rescued in Madhya Pradesh After Gang Tip-Off

In Indore, Madhya Pradesh, the State Tiger Strike Force rescued 21 protected turtles following a tip-off from Raunak Juneja, an arrested member of an interstate wildlife smuggling gang. The recovered turtles include 19 Indian Pond turtles and 2 Star Tortoises, both protected under the Wildlife Protection Act, 1972. Five accused have been arrested so far in the case.
