A dispute over the alleged withholding of passports for nearly 60 horses by the Equestrian Federation of India (EFI) has created uncertainty for riders, including juniors, ahead of the national qualifiers in October and November. The issue arises amid EFI's suspension by the Federation Equestre Internationale from December 1. EFI denies allegations, citing irregularities in horse import documents. Riders, including 2025 Asian Champion Ashish Limaye, say the problem has persisted for three months despite provisional competition clearance.
