EPFO Extends ECR Filing Deadline to October 31, 2026

The Employees’ Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO) has extended the deadline for filing the Electronic Challan-cum-Return (ECR) and remitting statutory contributions for September 2026 wages to October 31, 2026, from the earlier October 15. The extension follows a wage ceiling revision effective September 17, 2026, requiring establishments to update payroll systems. The decision was approved by the Central Provident Fund Commissioner.
