EPF, EPS Contribution Rules Change for Salaries up to Rs 25,000
The wage ceiling for mandatory Employees' Pension Scheme (EPS) membership has increased from Rs 15,000 to Rs 25,000. Employees earning up to Rs 25,000 basic pay who were previously only contributing to the Employees' Provident Fund (EPF) will now have part of their employer's contribution diverted to EPS. This change affects those who joined EPF after September 2014 and were not EPS members. From October 2026, contributions will adjust accordingly.
