Election Commission Removes Extra Declaration from Form-6 in SIR Completed States

The Election Commission has removed the additional declaration related to Special Intensive Revision (SIR) from the online Form-6 in states where SIR is complete. New voters in these states now only need to fill the standard Form-6. The extra declaration remains in states where SIR is ongoing. This decision follows objections from commissioners Sukhbir Singh Sandhu and Vivek Joshi regarding unauthorized changes to the statutory form. The change was approved in the full commission meeting on September 26.
