Election Commission Removes Extra Declaration from Form-6 in Completed SIR States

The Election Commission has decided to remove the additional declaration related to Special Intensive Revision (SIR) from the online voter registration Form-6 in states and union territories where the SIR process is complete. Now, new voters in these areas need to fill only the standard Form-6. The decision was made after a full commission meeting on September 26, attended by Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar and Election Commissioners Sukhbir Singh Sandhu and Vivek Joshi.
