Election Commission Orders Comparison of Pre-SIR and Current Electoral Rolls

The Election Commission of India has ordered a special exercise to compare pre-Special Intensive Revision (SIR) electoral rolls with current rolls in states and Union Territories where SIR is complete. Booth Level Officers (BLOs) will identify voters missing from current rolls, verify them through house-to-house checks, and facilitate re-enrolment via Form 6. The exercise aims to cover 20–25 voters weekly and complete within a month, including first-time and young voters.
