The Election Commission announced relief for voters removed from draft electoral rolls during the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) process. Voters marked as Absent, Shifted, Dead, or Duplicate (ASDD) but eligible can now reapply to have their names restored. This decision follows the Supreme Court's suggestion and applies to Delhi, Maharashtra, Haryana, Andhra Pradesh, Jharkhand, Telangana, and Nagaland. Officials will assist affected voters in submitting forms, and revised lists will be displayed at polling stations and panchayat buildings.
