Election Commission Makes Key Changes Amid SIR Controversy

Since September 23, following objections from two Election Commissioners about the Election Commission's functioning, several decisions have been made. These include removing the declaration form attached to Form 6 for non-SIR states, upholding the Supreme Court's ruling on the declaration form, planning a Special Intensive Revision Committee to investigate electoral roll management, and improving transparency with advance agendas and detailed minutes for meetings. A special drive was also announced to include eligible voters deleted during SIR.
