Election Commission Clarifies Form-6 for Existing Voters Missing in Draft List

The Election Commission clarified that individuals who were previously registered voters but are missing from the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) draft electoral list can still submit Form-6 to re-register. Such applicants will not be treated as first-time voters, and no legal action under Section 31 will be taken solely for reapplying. The voter must not be listed in another parliamentary or assembly constituency. The Commission has instructed all states and union territories to publicize this clarification.
