ED Registers Seven Heera Group Properties Auctioned for ₹15.03 Crore

The Enforcement Directorate (ED) Hyderabad office has completed the registration of seven immovable properties of the Heera Group sold at auction for ₹15.03 crore. The auction included six flats in Shaikpet and a house in Banjara Hills. Proceeds will go to the Serious Fraud Investigation Office for distribution to victims of the alleged investment fraud, following a Supreme Court order from March 2025.

Two Arrested for ₹1.7 Crore Fake Jewellery Fraud in Vellore

Two jewellery appraisers at a nationalised bank in Kavanur village, Vellore, were arrested for misappropriating ₹1.7 crore by pledging 1,080 grams of fake gold sovereigns. B. Parthiban and G. Srinivasan created 16 fake customer accounts to carry out the fraud over several years, evading suspicion by pledging small amounts repeatedly. The scam was uncovered during a surprise bank inspection.

VIT to Install 65 LED Streetlights on Sathuvachari-VIT Road in Vellore
