PoliticsED Hosts ARIN-AP Meeting to Boost Asset Recovery from Criminals
The 11th Annual General Meeting of the Asset Recovery Interagency Network Asia Pacific (ARIN-AP) began in New Delhi, hosted by India's nodal agency, the Directorate of Enforcement (ED). Under India's 2026 chairmanship, ED's director emphasized two priorities: faster action on requests and completing investigations. Despite efforts, international estimates show asset recovery from crime remains low, hindered more by bureaucracy than law. Members were urged to identify bureaucratic obstacles versus legal challenges.
