ED Challenges Delhi HC Order on NewsClick Money Laundering Case in Supreme Court

The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has challenged a Delhi High Court order in the Supreme Court that quashed a money laundering case against news portal NewsClick and its editor Prabir Purkayastha. The case involves alleged violations of Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) rules. The High Court had dismissed the case without investigating the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA) aspects and delayed the decision by five months. The case is not yet listed for hearing in the Supreme Court.
