ECI orders searchable PDF voter rolls for political parties

The Election Commission of India has instructed electoral registration officers to provide recognized political parties with both hard copies and searchable PDF versions of draft and final electoral rolls for each polling station. This directive, effective from October 15, covers the Special Summary Revision in 17 states and Union Territories. Digital copies will exclude voter photographs. Officials must also share lists of additions, deletions, and modifications to help parties monitor changes in voter records.
