ECI Limits Form 7 Submissions to Curb Bulk Voter Deletions
The Election Commission of India (ECI) has capped the number of Form 7 submissions by individual voters to prevent bulk applications seeking deletion of voter names during the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) in several states. Voters can now file a maximum of 10 applications during the claims and objections period and up to five per month during continuous electoral roll updates. This applies to both online and physical forms, addressing concerns over unsubstantiated bulk filings.
