ECI Clarifies SIR Notices Do Not Delete Voter Names in Delhi

The Election Commission of India (ECI) clarified that system-generated SIR notices sent to some Delhi voters do not mean their names will be deleted from electoral rolls. Notices target voters with data discrepancies or unlinked records from the last revision. Voters can respond with documents by November 29. Final rolls will be published on November 4. Notices were sent to about 32 lakh voters, including prominent leaders like Delhi CM Rekha Gupta and Union Minister S. Jaishankar.
