SportsDylan Larkin Out vs Rangers Due to Upper-Body Injury
Dylan Larkin will not play for the Detroit Red Wings against the New York Rangers due to an upper-body injury sustained during an off-ice workout. Placed on injured reserve before the season opener, Larkin will miss at least the first two games of the 2026-27 season. He was also booed by fans during pregame introductions amid trade requests and losing the captaincy. Coach Todd McLellan hopes Larkin returns for the third game on October 6.
