The Directorate of Vigilance and Anti-Corruption (DVAC) conducted searches at residences linked to former DMK MLA A.P. Nandakumar and industrialist J. Sekar Reddy in Katpadi, Vellore. The searches, part of a probe into a ₹634-crore cash-for-jobs scam involving DMK leader K.N. Nehru, began at 8 a.m. and involved teams from Vellore and Ranipet. Nandakumar was present; Sekar Reddy was not.
