ScienceDRDO Successfully Trials Indigenous High-Altitude Airship at 21 km
The Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) successfully conducted a flight trial of an indigenously developed High-Altitude Platform (HAPS), reaching 21 km altitude and maintaining 20 km for over 30 minutes. The trial demonstrated long-endurance stratospheric airship technology in India, with real-time data and video transmitted to Ground Control. The platform was equipped with GPS, cameras, and control systems. The trial involved the Indian Air Force, CEMILAC, and DGCA.
