Dr Reddy's Gets DCGI Approval for Cancer Drug's New Use in India

Dr Reddy's Laboratories received DCGI approval for its immunotherapy drug Zytorvi (toripalimab) to treat advanced oesophageal squamous cell carcinoma (ESCC) in adults. This expands its use beyond nasopharyngeal cancer. The approval covers toripalimab combined with cisplatin and paclitaxel for unresectable, recurrent, or metastatic ESCC. The decision is based on Phase III JUPITER-06 trial results showing a 42% reduction in disease progression or death risk.
