Dr Reddy's Gets Brazil Approval to Sell Generic Ozempic

Dr Reddy's Laboratories has received regulatory approval from Brazil's ANVISA to market and sell a generic version of Novo Nordisk's diabetes drug Ozempic. The generic semaglutide will treat adults with uncontrolled type 2 diabetes alongside diet and exercise. Brazil has 16.6 million adults with diabetes, ranking sixth globally. The drug will be available in 2 mg and 4 mg pre-filled injector pens.
