HealthDoctors Without Borders Worker Contracts Ebola in Congo, Evacuated to Netherlands
A Doctors Without Borders worker contracted Ebola during the Democratic Republic of Congo's largest outbreak and is being evacuated to the Netherlands for treatment. The staff member tested positive for Bundibugyo virus disease. Since May, Congo has reported 8,224 infections and 3,982 deaths. Around 254 health workers have been infected, with 50 deaths. A Montreal hospital also isolated a patient with Ebola-like symptoms as a precaution.
