Doctors Weigh FDA-Approved Drugs for MASH Treatment
Two FDA-approved drugs, Resmetirom and Semaglutide, are available for treating MASH (Metabolic Dysfunction-Associated Steatohepatitis). UCLA Health research shows Resmetirom is linked to lower major adverse cardiovascular events (MACE) compared to Semaglutide in real-world MASLD (Metabolic Dysfunction-Associated Steatotic Liver Disease) analysis. Doctors must consider these findings when choosing treatment options.
