ScienceDinosaurs and Fossils Discovered in Telangana's Mancherial Region
Dinosaurs once roamed Telangana's Mancherial district, particularly around Vemanapalli near the Pranahita River. Fossils and dinosaur remains, some measuring about 14 meters long and 5.5 meters high, were discovered in 1984 by geology and archaeology officials. The region also has fossilized trees and ancient statues from the Kakatiya period, with fossils resembling fish, starfish, and turtles found in nearby areas.
