Delhi tribunal orders ₹25.25 lakh compensation for truck driver’s family

The Delhi Motor Accident Claims Tribunal has ordered ₹25.25 lakh compensation for the family of truck driver Usman, who died in 2022 after a bus hit him while he was fixing a puncture by the roadside. The tribunal held the bus driver negligent and directed Uttar Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation to pay the amount with 7.5% annual interest from November 23, 2023, until payment.
