Delhi Traders Warn Rs 12,000 Crore Loss Due to INDIA Bloc Rally

Delhi's trading community fears a major disruption from the INDIA bloc's rally at Ramlila Maidan, with the Chamber of Trade and Industry (CTI) estimating around 2.5 lakh shops could close. Nearly 80% of business activity in about 20 major markets, worth Rs 10,000-12,000 crore during the festive season, may halt. The rally could also disrupt goods and customer movement in Central and Old Delhi just before Dhanteras and Diwali. CTI has written to Rahul Gandhi about the impact, noting panic among shopkeepers despite his appeal to support local markets.
