Delhi to Set Up First-Aid Rooms in All 1,086 Government Schools
The Delhi government plans to establish first-aid rooms in all 1,086 government schools to provide immediate medical care for students during school hours. The initiative, costing ₹48.87 crore annually, will include trained health workers like Auxiliary Nurse Midwives. Facilities will offer basic first aid, wound dressing, ORS, rest areas, and menstrual health support, but no diagnostic or prescription services. Implementation will be phased, starting with schools having separate rooms.
