TechnologyDelhi's New Traffic System to Track Stolen Vehicles and Detect Accidents
Delhi's proposed Intelligent Traffic Management System (ITMS) will provide real-time monitoring of roads, tracking stolen vehicles after FIRs, and detecting traffic jams, accidents, and slow vehicle speeds. The system aims to generate alerts for traffic disruptions and improve police response. Delhi records about 95-100 vehicle thefts daily, with around 35,000-40,000 cases annually. The ITMS will help track stolen vehicles across traffic zones, enhancing city traffic management.
