Delhi's LNJP Hospital has installed new medical machines worth around ₹40 crore to reduce long patient wait times. Previously, patients waited 2-3 years for MRI scans due to a shortage of machines. The new equipment includes a 3-Tesla MRI and a dual-source 256-slice CT scanner, inaugurated by Chief Minister Rekha Gupta and Health Minister Pankaj Kumar Singh. These machines were funded by Indian Oil Corporation's CSR program and will double the hospital's MRI and CT scan capacity, benefiting about 5,000 daily OPD patients.
