Delhi's air quality index (AQI) stayed in the poor category at 223 as of 8 am on Friday, with 19 out of 57 monitoring stations reporting moderate air quality and the rest poor. The poor AQI is due to seasonal pollution increase and weather conditions. The Air Quality Early Warning System predicts poor air quality until October 25. Minimum temperatures recorded were 19°C at Safdarjung and 19.2°C at Ridge, both above seasonal averages.
