On Sunday in Delhi, police continued actions against protesters opposing Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar. Around 100 protesters, including CPI(M) leader John Brittas, were detained from Connaught Place and taken away in two buses. This occurred despite the Supreme Court's directive that peaceful, unarmed protesters should not be detained except through legal procedures. The court also ordered restoration of metro, rail, and internet services and removal of restrictions near court premises to ensure access to justice.
