Delhi Police Denotifies Jantar Mantar as Protest Site Following SC Order

Delhi Police informed the Delhi High Court that Jantar Mantar has been denotified as a designated protest site following Supreme Court directions. The police named Ramlila Maidan, Burari Ground, and CBD Ground as new protest sites. This was stated during a plea by Indian Youth Congress seeking protest permission at Jantar Mantar against Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar over alleged SIR exercise irregularities. A Supreme Court challenge against the denotification is pending.
