Delhi Police Acts on Fake News, Removes 500 Posts, Files 4+ FIRs

Delhi Police's Intelligence Fusion and Strategic Operations (IFSO) unit has taken action against social media handles spreading false information and inciting unrest during protests. Over 500 posts were removed and more than four FIRs filed. Pakistani social media accounts allegedly spreading anti-India sentiments and fake news about protest deaths on October 10 are under scrutiny. FIRs were also registered for alleged curfew violations during opposition marches in Delhi.
