Delhi-NCR Air Quality Deteriorates to AQI 245; GRAP-1 Enforced

Delhi-NCR experienced its first poor air quality day of the season with AQI reaching 245 due to smog. The Central Pollution Control Board and state authorities activated Stage 1 of the Graded Response Action Plan (GRAP), enforcing stricter inspections on construction, banning open burning, and promoting public transport. Delhi Metro added 20 weekday train services. From November 1, vehicles without valid PUC certificates will be banned from fuel purchase.
