Delhi Launches AI System to Predict Water Pipeline Bursts

Delhi has introduced an AI-powered Intelligent Command and Control Centre to detect vulnerable water pipelines and predict possible bursts before they occur. The system integrates data from smart meters, digital maps, SCADA, and GPS-enabled vehicles into a single dashboard. It uses digital-twin technology to model the water network, monitor repairs, and address consumer complaints, aiming to reduce water wastage and supply disruptions.

IMD Forecasts Heavy Rainfall in South India, Hailstorm in Delhi NCR

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) predicts heavy rainfall in South India until October 20 due to the Northeast Monsoon. Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, and Karaikal may experience isolated very heavy rainfall on October 15. Other regions in South India will see heavy rain between October 15-20.
