PoliticsDelhi HC stays Aadhaar biometric attendance for prosecutors
The Delhi High Court has stayed a government order requiring public prosecutors in trial courts to mark attendance daily using the Aadhaar Enabled Biometric Attendance System. Justice Amit Mahajan issued notice on a petition by the Delhi Prosecutors' Welfare Association challenging the October 5 directive. The petition argued the order was arbitrary and violated privacy rights as prosecutors' presence is already recorded in court order sheets.
