Delhi HC Protects Vijay Deverakonda Against AI Deepfakes

The Delhi High Court has granted protection to actor Vijay Deverakonda against unauthorized use of his name, face, voice, and other personal attributes in AI-generated deepfake content. Justice Vikas Mahajan ordered Meta, Google, and X to remove such content within 72 hours. Online marketplaces and domain registrars must also act promptly. The Ministry of Electronics and IT and the Department of Telecommunications have been directed to enforce the order.
