Delhi saw a massive security operation with 41,000 personnel deployed to prevent protests demanding Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar's resignation. Around 7,000 people, including four former chief ministers and Cockroach Janta Party leaders, were detained. Police blocked access to Jantar Mantar, but sporadic protests continued across the city despite the heavy crackdown.
