Delhi Detains 600, Cancels 250+ Trains, Shuts 45 Metro Stations Ahead of Protest
Delhi Police detained over 600 people ahead of a planned protest at Jantar Mantar against alleged voter-list manipulation and demanding Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar's resignation. Starting 6 am, strict traffic restrictions were imposed across the city. Authorities also closed entry and exit gates at 45 metro stations and cancelled more than 250 trains as part of security measures.
