Delhi Bans Non-BS6 Vehicles from Outside from Nov 1 to Jan 31

Delhi government will bar entry of non-BS6 vehicles registered outside the capital from November 1 to January 31, 2027, to combat worsening air quality. This affects around one million vehicles from Gurugram, Faridabad, and Noida. Exemptions include CNG, electric vehicles, ambulances, fire tenders, and essential-service vehicles. The AQI recently reached hazardous levels above 300, prompting this pollution control measure.

Delhi HC refuses to stay probe into journalists accused of casteist remarks on ACP...

The Delhi High Court on Tuesday declined to stay the investigation into two journalists accused of making casteist remarks against ACP Vivek Bhagat. The journalists allegedly humiliated the officer and obstructed his duties during an October 3 protest. Justice Mini Pushkarna said the investigation cannot be stayed without reviewing the Delhi Police's status report. The court issued notice on the petition seeking quashing of the FIR against the journalists.
