ScienceDecade of Wildlife Monitoring in Serengeti Yields Millions of Photos
For over ten years, 225 motion-triggered cameras placed on trees throughout the Serengeti have continuously captured wildlife images day and night. These millions of photographs were meticulously sorted by hundreds of thousands of volunteers worldwide, none of whom had visited Tanzania. This crowdsourced effort transformed raw data into valuable scientific insights about Serengeti wildlife.
