DAC Approves ₹2.12 Lakh Crore Defence Purchases Including Drones and Artillery

The Defence Acquisition Council (DAC) approved military purchases worth ₹2.12 lakh crore to enhance combat readiness. The procurement includes K9 Vajra-T artillery guns, high-mobility vehicles, helicopters, air defence systems, and kamikaze drones. About 82% of the equipment will be sourced domestically. The acquisitions aim to boost operational capabilities, logistics, and air defence against new aerial threats.
