Cyclone Ornab Intensifies, May Hit Andhra Coast by Wednesday

Cyclone Ornab in the Bay of Bengal has intensified and is rapidly moving towards the Andhra Pradesh coast. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) warns it could become a very severe cyclone by Tuesday and make landfall between Bapatla and Visakhapatnam on Wednesday morning, with wind speeds reaching up to 140 km/h. The central government held a high-level meeting with the National Crisis Management Committee and the meteorological department to review preparedness.
