Cyclone Murasu, which originated from the Bay of Bengal, has weakened into a deep depression but continues to affect South India. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) forecasted heavy to very heavy rainfall in coastal Andhra Pradesh on November 4, 2026. Telangana, Tamil Nadu, and Puducherry also face warnings of rain, thunder, and strong winds. Bihar, Jharkhand, and most northern states are expected to have relatively calm weather. The cyclone's remnants caused wind speeds of 55-65 km/h with gusts up to 75 km/h as of November 3. Heavy rains may cause waterlogging and localized flooding in low-lying areas of Andhra Pradesh.
