Cyclone Murasu Hits Andhra Pradesh, Heavy Rain Floods Vijayawada Roads

Severe Cyclonic Storm Murasu made landfall along the south Andhra Pradesh coast, causing heavy rain and waterlogging in Vijayawada. Roads including Bandar Road and Polyclinic Road were flooded, disrupting traffic. The cyclone's eye was entering the coast near Nellore and Narsapur, close to Ongole. The India Meteorological Department reported gale winds of 100-110 kmph with gusts and expected the landfall process to continue for two more hours.
