Cyclone Murasu Approaches Andhra Coast, Tamil Nadu Faces Heavy Rain Disruptions

Severe Cyclonic Storm Murasu is moving towards the south Andhra Pradesh coast, expected to make landfall near Ongole between Monday midnight and early Tuesday. Wind speeds may reach 100-110 kmph with gusts up to 120 kmph. Heavy rains caused waterlogging in Chennai and nearby Tamil Nadu districts, leading to flight cancellations and school closures. The IMD warns of very rough seas and advises fishermen to avoid the sea. The cyclone will weaken after crossing the coast.
