Cyclone Isaias, a post-tropical storm, caused at least four deaths in the southeastern United States as it moved northward after making landfall on Florida's Gulf Coast. The storm hit as a Category 2 hurricane near Destin with winds of 105 mph before weakening. Fatalities included two from fallen trees in Florida and Alabama. The storm caused power outages, downed trees, and overturned vehicles.
